As a member of the Equal Districts Coalition, we stand with the voices of Ohio advocates, stakeholders, and leaders from across our great state urging the Ohio Redistricting Commission (ORC) to create Statehouse maps that accurately represent our diverse communities and how Ohioans vote.
On September 14, at the final public hearing held by the ORC, we submitted written testimony for the public hearing calling for fair, equitable maps. We know that redistricting is a gender justice issue, and the decisions made now on our state maps will have immediate and long-term consequences on the lives of women in Ohio.
