Health care is on the line, and we need your help to protect coverage for millions of Americans. U.S. Senate Republican leaders are currently working to finalize their version of the healthcare bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA). What’s worse, they are doing this planning in complete secret and refusing to release details on the bill.
From what we do know, it is likely that the Senate version of the bill will be very similar to that of the harmful, dangerous version passed out of the House last month. If that’s true, then the Senate version would result in the loss of healthcare coverage for millions of Americans – including the phase out of Medicaid expansion, which would be devastating for the low-income women and families, pregnant women, women with disabilities, and elderly women that depend on the program.
And, if this bill is similar to the House version passed, it will be particularly harmful to women:
Senate leaders have said that they hope to vote on the bill by the July 4th holiday, and that means that Senators need to hear from their constituents NOW! Senator Portman is one of the Republican legislators working on the Senate version of the bill, and he seems to be inching closer to supporting the bill when it comes time for a vote.
Call Senator Portman’s office NOW and tell him to vote ‘NO’ on the healthcare bill:

Cleveland office: (216) 522-7095
Columbus office: (614) 469-6774
Toledo office: (419) 259-3895
Washington, DC. office: (202) 224-3353
On your call, urge Senator Portman to reject the ACA repeal bill, which would cause millions of Americans to lose access to affordable health coverage – especially women, children, elderly people, and people with disabilities.
